Melbourne's folk-tronic act Amaru Tribe are embarking on an exciting journey to Colombia to complete production of their next EP/Album, featuring collaborations with local and internation

al artists. Before thy depart, they're inviting the community to celebrate with them at an intimate farewell gathering. Friday, August 1st at The Nightcat will see Amaru Tribe joined by carefully curated friends for a night that promises to blend cultures and sounds.

The evening features the multi-instrumentalist producer MOONTIDE presenting a special hybrid DJ set, fresh from his acclaimed performances at Portugal's legendary Boom Festival. Special guest DJs Otorongo of Isutaki Collective (Chile) and Muiscaya (Colombia) will bring their unique global/latin collection to complete this cross-cultural celebration, with additional live guest chinese/australian musician QiQi opening this night of global sounds.

Adding to the festivities, Amaru Tribe are releasing their new single 'SOMOS ORO REMIX' – a dynamic collaboration with Berlin-based producer MAUGLI 

This celebration caps off a remarkable year for this Melbourne tribe, who recently returned from Indonesia's Bali Spirit Festival and earlier graced the stages of WOMAD New Zealand and WOMADelaide. Their journey to Colombia represents the next chapter in their musical evolution, where they'll dive deeper into their roots while expanding their sonic palette.
